Donald Miller was born in Houston, Texas, in 1971. He is American and works as a writer, speaker and entrepreneur. He is CEO of StoryBrand, which helps businesses sharpen how they communicate. His first New York Times bestseller was Blue Like Jazz, and he has also written A Million Miles in a Thousand Years, Searching for God Knows What and Through Painted Deserts. His earlier work was reflective writing about faith, God and self-discovery. Later he turned to business communication, and Building a StoryBrand, Marketing Made Simple and How to Grow Your Small Business have all been bestsellers. He also founded The Mentoring Project, which supports fatherless youth.
