About Beth Rogowsky
Beth Rogowsky, Ed.D., taught English language arts to middle schoolers for 14 years in rural and urban public schools. She later completed three years of postdoctoral training in neuroscience at Rutgers University, which connected her classroom experience with the science of how the brain learns. Her research looks at language and literacy skills for learners from preschool through adulthood, and it challenges neuromyths such as instruction based on learning styles. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. Rogowsky teaches at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania as a professor. Her courses for undergraduates cover the principles of teaching, assessment and adolescent literacy, and she also teaches graduate research and writing. Her book in our catalog is Uncommon Sense Teaching.
