About Brook Cupps
Brook Cupps has coached high school basketball for more than 20 years, and several Coach of the Year awards have come his way. He has coached the boys team at Centerville High School in Ohio, which won the school's first basketball state title in 2021. He has also coached grassroots basketball on the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) circuits. He helped lead the North Coast Blue Chips of Ohio to national titles in 2014 and 2019. Cupps shares essays on leadership and coaching every week through his site, Blue Collar Grit, and is the author of Surrender the Outcome. With Ryan Hawk he wrote The Score That Matters, a book arguing that our internal score reveals whether we live in line with our purpose and values.
