About Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh was born in 1984 and played one season at Georgia Tech before the Toronto Raptors picked him fourth overall in the 2003 NBA draft. In 2010 he moved to the Miami Heat, where he played alongside Dwyane Wade and LeBron James and won championships in 2012 and 2013. A blood clotting condition ended his playing career, and his final NBA game came on February 9, 2016. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021, and again in 2025 as part of the Redeem Team. Bosh set up the Chris Bosh Foundation to promote sports and education among young people in Dallas and Toronto. He regularly speaks to them about the value of reading, and he is the author of Letters to a Young Athlete.
