About Don Jose Ruiz
don Jose Ruiz was born in Mexico City and grew up in Tijuana, Mexico. At 21 he moved to the United States to live with his father, don Miguel Ruiz. He began learning from his father, a shaman known as a nagual, as soon as he could talk. In his teens he went to India, where he studied with his father's friends. At 23 he became successor to the family lineage. He is the international bestselling author of The Fifth Agreement, which he wrote with his father. He has also written Ripples of Wisdom, My Good Friend The Rattlesnake and The Medicine Bag. He gives lectures and workshops, and leads journeys to sacred sites around the world, sharing ancient Toltec wisdom.
