About Don Miguel Ruiz

Miguel Ángel Ruiz Macías was born in 1952 and is better known as Don Miguel Ruiz. He grew up in rural Mexico as the youngest of thirteen children, and his parents were healers who followed Toltec traditions. He studied medicine in Mexico City and later worked as a neurosurgeon in Tijuana with his older brother. A near-fatal car crash changed his course. He left medicine to explore the truth about life and humanity, guided by the ancestral teachings of his mother. His books include The Four Agreements, The Mastery of Love and The Fifth Agreement, which he wrote together with his son, don José Ruiz. The Fifth Agreement reached the New York Times bestseller list. In 2018 he was named among the Watkins list of the 100 most spiritually influential living people.
