Jairek Robbins was born in Santa Monica, California, and studied psychology at the University of San Diego. He works as a performance coach and speaks regularly at seminars and conferences. At 23 he received the Congressional Award Gold Medal from the US Congress. Outside his coaching work, he has sailed around the world on a ship, helped build schools and houses in several countries, and volunteered in underdeveloped regions.
