Jeffrey Gitomer was born in 1946 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He describes himself as a salesman, a father of three daughters and a college dropout, and he set out to become the best salesman in the world. Along the way he became a columnist, author, speaker, consultant and sales trainer. His books include the New York Times best sellers The Sales Bible, The Little Red Book of Selling and The Little Black Book of Connections. He earned the Certified Speaking Professional designation from the National Speakers Association in 1997. In 2008 he was inducted into its Speaker Hall of Fame.
