About Nathaniel Popper

Nathaniel Popper is a journalist who has reported on Wall Street and Silicon Valley, with earlier roles at The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and the Forward. He studied history and literature at Harvard University. His interest in Bitcoin began with an article about how Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss had built up a large holding of it. That led him to research where Bitcoin came from and to write Digital Gold: Bitcoin and the Inside Story of the Misfits and Millionaires Trying to Reinvent Money, published in 2015. The book made the shortlist for the 2015 Financial Times Business Book of the Year, and The New York Times picked it as an Editors' Choice.
