Peter Fritsch worked as a reporter at The Wall Street Journal before he co-founded Fusion GPS with Glenn Simpson in 2010. The two left journalism to run open-source investigations for businesses and law firms, and to do opposition research for political candidates. In Crime in Progress, Fritsch and Simpson tell how Fusion was hired in 2015 to look into Donald Trump's finances. The book goes on to describe their work with Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, and the Steele dossier. It was a New York Times bestseller.
