About Peter Shankman
Peter Shankman is an American entrepreneur and author, born in 1972. He founded HARO (Help a Reporter Out), an online service that lets journalists gather feedback from the public. He started and sold two companies before HARO, which was his third. He was not formally diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) until his mid-30s. After selling HARO, he set out to understand how his brain works and what it can do. That work produced the Faster Than Normal podcast and a book with the same title. Shankman has written several books, including Zombie Loyalists, and speaks internationally. In 2022 he took a futurist role with the agency BluShark Digital and the firm Price Benowitz LLP. He believes people have gifts and abilities beyond what society calls normal, and he shares that view through his podcast, books, videos and talks.
