About Robert Poynton
Robert Poynton has been an associate fellow at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where he worked on executive education. He has written Do Improvise, Everything's an Offer, Do Pause and Do Conversation. In Do Pause, he argues that people do their best thinking and living when their rhythm varies, rather than staying constantly switched on. He also created The Pause Project after the book drew wide attention. Across his books, he holds that setting up conditions where good things can happen works better than trying to control people or events.
