About Three Initiates
The Three Initiates is the name that appears on The Kybalion, a book that came out without a named author. It is a pseudonym, and evidence points to William Walker Atkinson as the writer behind it. Atkinson wrote a great deal in the late 1800s and early 1900s and belonged to the New Thought and early self-help movements. His work focused on building spiritual strength through the mind, and he drew on Hermeticism and other esoteric traditions to make them understandable to ordinary readers.
