About William J. O'Neil
William J. O'Neil (1933 to 2023) was an American businessman, stockbroker and writer. He studied business at Southern Methodist University and served in the United States Air Force. He set up the brokerage firm William O'Neil & Co. Inc in 1963, and he also started the financial newspaper Investor's Business Daily. He developed the CAN SLIM investment strategy, and he wrote How to Make Money in Stocks.
