About Bill Lazier

Bill Lazier taught a course on entrepreneurship and small business at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, together with Jim Collins. The course became the basis for Beyond Entrepreneurship, a guide for leaders who want to build lasting, great companies. Lazier died in 2004. Collins has called him a mentor and the closest thing to a father in his life. Collins then wanted to share Lazier's life and leadership lessons more widely, which led to Beyond Entrepreneurship 2.0, an updated edition of the book.
