Brad Stone is an American journalist and author who became editor of Bloomberg Businessweek in January 2024. He was previously senior executive editor for global technology at Bloomberg News. Before joining Bloomberg he reported on Silicon Valley for the New York Times, and earlier he was a reporter at Newsweek. The Everything Store appeared in 2013 and took the Financial Times and Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year prize that year. It has been translated into more than 35 languages. Amazon Unbound, published in 2021, continues the story of Jeff Bezos and his company. Stone also wrote The Upstarts, about Uber and Airbnb, and an earlier book, Gearheads, which the San Francisco Chronicle chose as one of the best books of 2003. Stone comes from Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Columbia University in 1993. He has lived in San Francisco for over twenty years.
