About Bret Weinstein
Bret Weinstein is an evolutionary biologist whose particular area of expertise is adaptive trade-offs. He has studied how neotropical bats build tents, and has focused on how genetic and cultural evolution interact. He was on the faculty of Evergreen State College and resigned in 2017, following campus protests over racial equity that brought him national attention. He has been a visiting fellow at Princeton University and has testified to the US Congress. Weinstein hosts the DarkHorse Podcast and is a New York Times best-selling author. He often works with his wife, the evolutionary biologist Heather E. Heying, on the podcast and books. His book in our catalog is A Hunter-Gatherer's Guide to the 21st Century.
