About Bruce H. Lipton

Bruce H. Lipton trained as a cell biologist and earned his PhD at the University of Virginia. In 1973 he joined the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine, where his research looked at muscular dystrophy and cloned human stem cells. He later carried out research at Stanford University, and in 2009 he received the Goi Peace Award. Lipton lectures and writes about how cell biology connects with mind-body medicine and spiritual ideas. He has been a guest on hundreds of TV and radio shows and a keynote speaker at conferences. His book The Biology of Belief sets out his findings. His claims that thoughts and emotions can shape the body through epigenetics have been largely dismissed by relevant experts.
