About Emmanuel Acho
Emmanuel Acho was born on November 10, 1990, and grew up in Dallas, the son of Nigerian immigrant parents. He played college football at Texas, and the Cleveland Browns picked him in the sixth round of the 2012 National Football League (NFL) Draft. He later played for the Philadelphia Eagles, and he earned a master's degree in sports psychology at the University of Texas during off-seasons. After football he moved into broadcasting, working as an analyst for ESPN and Fox Sports. He created and hosted an online video series about racism called Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man, and later published a book with the same title. That book and its follow-up, Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy, both became New York Times bestsellers.
