About Francesco Cirillo

Francesco Cirillo came up with the Pomodoro Technique as a university student in the 1980s, when he struggled to structure his workday. His method has people work in 25-minute stretches without interruption, separated by five-minute breaks. He wrote a book on the technique in 2006 and offered it as a free download. It was downloaded more than 2 million times before he took it down in 2013. Cirillo is a partner in Cirillo Consulting, a consulting firm based in Berlin, and offers coaching and training in his technique.
