About George Friedman
George Friedman is a Hungarian-born American political scientist and writer who works as a geopolitical forecaster. He founded Geopolitical Futures, an online publication that analyses and forecasts world affairs, and is its chairman. He started the intelligence company Stratfor in 1996 and left it in 2015. His books, including The Next Decade, have been translated into more than 20 languages, and he is a New York Times bestselling author. Friedman has a bachelor's degree from City College in New York and earned his PhD in government at Cornell University. He has briefed military and government organizations.
