About Gordon Neufeld
Gordon Neufeld was born in 1946 and is a developmental psychologist from Vancouver, British Columbia. He spent over 45 years working as a clinical psychologist, supporting children and young people as well as the adults who care for them. He has also taught at university level, and he is a father of five. Neufeld has developed over 25 courses aimed at parents, teachers and other helping professionals. They are delivered mainly through the Neufeld Institute, an online educational institute and charity that uses developmental science to guide the raising of children. Hold on to Your Kids, which he wrote with the Canadian physician Gabor Maté, is his best-selling book.
