About Heather Heying
Heather Heying holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Michigan. Her doctoral research on how social systems and sexual selection evolve earned the university's highest honor for a dissertation. She also has a B.A. in Anthropology. Heying taught at The Evergreen State College for 15 years, designing curriculum around the scientific method and including trips to remote sites in the neotropics. She and Bret Weinstein resigned in 2017 after violent protests on campus, and she came to national attention around that time. She also writes a newsletter called Natural Selections. Her book in our catalog is A Hunter-Gatherer's Guide to the 21st Century.
