Hod Lipson is an American robotics engineer and engineering professor based at Columbia University, in New York City. He directs the Creative Machines Lab, which works on machines capable of creating and of being creative. His research covers evolutionary robotics, digital manufacturing and artificial life, as well as self-replicating robots, food printing and bio-printing. He has co-authored hundreds of papers and has spoken at venues including TED and the National Academies. His book Fabricated is available in the BookBits catalog.
