About Ken Forkish
Ken Forkish spent twenty years working in the tech industry before changing course to become a baker. He left Silicon Valley and moved to Portland, Oregon. Ken's Artisan Bakery opened in 2001. Ken's Artisan Pizza followed in 2006, and Trifecta Tavern in 2013. Flour Water Salt Yeast was his debut book, and it won a James Beard award and an International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) award. He has since written The Elements of Pizza.
