About Kent Heckenlively
Kent Heckenlively sent his first story to a science fiction magazine when he was fourteen. It was turned down, but the rejection came with a kind note urging him to keep writing. He wrote a first novel in college and then spent many years on screenplays, before finding a true story he felt he could tell as non-fiction. That became Plague, which he co-authored with Dr. Judy Mikovits. He studied English and Political Science in college and worked on law review in law school. Along the way he spent a summer working for a United States Senator, two summers at the United States Attorney's Office, and six weeks in a virus lab where he worked with Ebola. Heckenlively practised law with his father for several years. He then returned to his early interest in science and became a science teacher, teaching by day and writing at night. His books in our catalog include Google Leaks.
