About Kio Stark
Kio Stark writes both nonfiction and fiction. Her first novel, Follow Me Down, came out in 2011. Don’t Go Back to School is a practical handbook for learning almost anything outside a classroom. It offers concrete strategies, stories from learners, and advice on getting started, staying motivated and finding work without a traditional degree. She has also written When Strangers Meet, a book about talking to people you don't know. Stark has taught as an adjunct professor at New York University, in its graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program. She has also coordinated the Knight-Mozilla OpenNews Learning initiative.
