About Lawrence Levy

Lawrence Levy is originally from London and earned degrees from Indiana University and Harvard Law School. He began his career as a lawyer at the Silicon Valley firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, then worked as an executive at Electronics for Imaging. In 1994 Steve Jobs hired him as chief financial officer of Pixar Animation Studios. He handled the company's business strategy and its initial public offering (IPO), helped turn a money-losing graphics company into a large entertainment studio, and later joined the board of directors. Levy then left corporate life to study meditation and Eastern philosophy. He cofounded Juniper Foundation in 2003 and now writes and teaches on these subjects, with a particular interest in how they relate to the stresses of modern life and corporate culture.
