About Lou Downe
Lou Downe is the pen name of Louise Downe. Downe held the post of Director of Design and Service Standards at the Government Digital Service (GDS), part of the UK government. Downe is regarded as a pioneer of service design in government, where Downe set up design standards and led a team of 65 designers. Downe wrote Good Services and has also founded a design studio. Downe has been voted one of the UK's top 50 creative leaders.
