About Mark Levy
Mark Levy was born in 1962 in Flushing, Queens. He graduated from Queens College in 1985 with a writing degree. He started out as a bookstore clerk, then worked in publishing and wholesaling, including as a sales manager and a director of special projects. Over dinner in 1997, his friend David Pogue suggested working on a book together. The result was Magic for Dummies, and it gave Mark a taste for writing books. His solo book, Accidental Genius, is about using writing to generate ideas, insight and content. In 2002 he left the book industry to start Levy Innovation, a positioning and branding firm. He has written for the New York Times, taught research writing at Rutgers University, and co-created the off-Broadway magic show Chamber Magic.
