About Mikko Hypponen
Mikko Hypponen has more than thirty years of experience as a researcher and investigator in cyber security. He spent 34 years working at WithSecure and F-Secure, and joined Sensofusion in 2025. He is known for the Hyppönen Law of Internet of Things (IoT) security, which holds that any appliance called "smart" is vulnerable. That idea sits behind his book If It's Smart, It's Vulnerable. Hypponen is a sought-after lecturer, and Vanity Fair has profiled him. His TED Talk has drawn more than 2 million views.
