About Nancy Dreyfus

Nancy Dreyfus is a psychotherapist who holds a Psy.D. and began her career in journalism. She graduated from The Columbia School of Journalism and worked as a prize-winning reporter. At 25 she was offered a job at The New York Times, but an assignment to write about a spiritual group led her in another direction, and she left journalism to explore inner identity. She has worked as a couples therapist and describes her approach as helping people loosen external structures that no longer suit them and live from their own inner experience. Her book Talk to Me Like I'm Someone You Love rests on her belief that trusting one's own Being improves how people relate to others. She grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey, and now lives and works in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
