About Paula Davis
Davis founded the Stress & Resilience Institute, where she is CEO. She advises leaders on workplace stress, burnout prevention and well-being. After seven years in law practice, she moved on, and her master's studies in applied positive psychology took place at the University of Pennsylvania. As part of that training, she joined the Penn faculty teaching resilience skills to soldiers in the Army's Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness program. Across the Penn team, more than 40,000 soldiers and relatives received that training. Davis wrote Beating Burnout at Work, a book on preventing burnout through teams. The Next Big Idea Club named it a nominee for best new book. Lead Well is another of her titles. She has won a distinguished teaching award from the Medical College of Wisconsin two times.
