About Per Espen Stoknes
Per Espen Stoknes was born in 1967 and holds a PhD in economics. He is known for a TED talk on the psychology behind economic choices in the face of climate change. He has argued for climate communication that lowers barriers and invites people to take personal and political action. He served as a deputy member of the Norwegian Parliament for Oslo from 2017 to 2021. Stoknes also co-founded two clean-technology companies, GasPlas and AgroPlas, and wrote Money and Soul (2009).
