About Phakchok Rinpoche

Phakchok Rinpoche was born in 1981 into a family known for generations of spiritual accomplishment. He was recognized as the seventh Phakchok Rinpoche, the incarnation of a great teacher and meditation master, and was ordained by the Dalai Lama. He trained in Buddhist philosophy and meditation with several masters, chiefly his grandfather Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche. He completed his education in Bir, India, and received the Khenpo title from the Dzongsar Institute of Advanced Buddhist Studies. Phakchok Rinpoche teaches in Buddhist centers, universities and monasteries across Asia, the United States, South America and Europe. His teaching blends scholarly learning with hands-on practice, and he brings humor to showing how old teachings apply to fast-moving city life. His book in our catalog is Radically Happy.
