About Priya Parker
Priya Parker founded Thrive Labs, where she advises activists, elected officials, business leaders, educators and philanthropists on designing gatherings that matter. Her clients have included the Museum of Modern Art, LVMH and the World Economic Forum. With a background in conflict resolution, she has worked on race relations at US colleges and on peace efforts across the Arab world, southern Africa and India. She has studied at three institutions: the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (organizational design), the Harvard Kennedy School (public policy) and the University of Virginia (political and social thought). She wrote The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters (Riverhead Books, 2018). A TEDx talk she gave on purpose has passed one million views. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
