About Rami Kaminski
Kaminski has more than forty years of experience in psychiatry, including work at Mount Sinai and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His Institute for Integrative Psychiatry, based in New York City, promotes a whole person view of healthcare. He has been named Physician of the Year at Mount Sinai and holds eleven international patents. He also worked at the New York State Office of Mental Health, as medical director for operations and as the commissioner's liaison to families. In that role he helped create community programs, including the Second Chance Program, and was among the organizers of the mental health response to 9/11 in New York City. In 2023 he founded The Otherness Institute, which studies the outlook of otroverts and aims to raise awareness of it. He also developed the Otherness Scale, a method for identifying and measuring traits of otherness and otroversion.
