Ronald Heifetz was born in 1951 and is an academic and author. He founded the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School, where he holds the Hussein bin Talal Senior Lecturer in Public Leadership post. He also co-founded Cambridge Leadership Associates. Earlier in his career he was a clinical instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He has worked with leaders in government, nonprofits and business. He has written several books on adaptive leadership, including Leadership on the Line and The Practice of Adaptive Leadership.
