About Sam Dogen
Sam Dogen started Financial Samurai in 2009. He writes about investing, real estate, retirement planning and careers, with the aim of helping readers reach financial independence. Dogen's finance career began in 1999 and included 13 years at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics at William & Mary, followed by an MBA at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2012, at age 34, he left his finance job to become a writer.
