Through the institute he has trained thousands of therapists in several countries. He has taught and supervised family medicine residents at Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills, California. He also serves on the board of directors of Lifespan Learning Institute. In 2014 the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, California, named him Educator of the Year.
