About Susannah Harmon Furr
Susannah Harmon Furr is an art historian who studies the Dutch Baroque period, and she also works as a designer and entrepreneur. She started a women's clothing label that draws on her research into detailed embroidery. With her husband Nathan Furr, a strategy professor, she wrote The Upside of Uncertainty. The couple met as undergraduates and have four children. She sums up the book's central idea as "Uncertainty is the portal to possibility." She has also helped teach workshops based on the book's tools, which are grouped into four tasks: reframing, priming, doing and sustaining.
