About Taylor Larimore
Jack Bogle gave Taylor Larimore the nickname King of the Bogleheads, and Money magazine called him the Dean of the Vanguard Diehards. He spent hours answering investors' questions for free on the Morningstar forum for Vanguard fans. Larimore ran the annual Bogleheads contest from 2001 to 2020, a game meant to show how hard it is to forecast stock prices. In 2021 the running of the contest passed to Ralph Arvesen. He served in World War II as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division and took part in the Battle of the Bulge. His working life included jobs as a life insurance underwriter, an Internal Revenue Service officer, a finance chief at the Small Business Administration in South Florida, and a director of the Dade County Housing Finance Authority. With Mel Lindauer and Michael LeBoeuf, he wrote The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing, a practical guide that grew out of their forum conversations.
