You will build the BookBits listening experience on the web and the platform behind it: the services that power our catalog, accounts and listening on every device.
What you’ll do
- Build what members use every day: continuous playback, synchronized read-along, playlists and the personal library.
- Design and evolve the APIs shared by our web, mobile and website experiences.
- Make catalog search fast in every language we publish, including languages written without spaces between words.
- Improve the pipelines that produce, check and publish our summaries.
- Keep our sites fast, accessible and connected to subscriptions.
What you bring
- Web applications you shipped that people use every day.
- Strong JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and experience with a backend language.
- Experience designing APIs and working with databases.
- Care for performance, accessibility and the details people notice.
- Daily use of AI coding tools, and the judgment to review what they produce.
- Clear written English.
