David J. Bland is a founder, author, speaker and advisor based in Northern California. In 2015 he created Precoil, which helps companies test new products and services using lean startup, design thinking and business model innovation. He has worked with companies including GE, Adobe, Toyota, HP and Behr. Before moving into advising around 2010, he spent more than 10 years scaling technology startups. He was also a Principal at Neo and BigVisible. He has taught at several startup accelerators in Silicon Valley. He co-wrote Testing Business Ideas with Alexander Osterwalder, published by Wiley in 2019. The book is aimed at corporate innovators, startup entrepreneurs and solopreneurs, and has been published in 20 languages.
