About Geoffrey A. Moore
Moore was born in 1946 in Portland, Oregon. His degrees are a bachelor's in American literature from Stanford University and a doctorate in English literature from the University of Washington. He taught English at Olivet College for four years, then moved into high tech, starting as a training specialist before working in sales and marketing. His marketing consulting career began at Regis McKenna Inc. He later helped found The Chasm Group, Chasm Institute and TCG Advisors, and he is now chairman emeritus of all three. Crossing the Chasm deals with the hurdles start-ups meet when they try to win mainstream customers after early adopters. Zone To Win focuses on large established companies and how they can take on disruptive innovation. Moore has also written The Infinite Staircase, which applies his skill with frameworks to questions of life, ethics and mortality.
