Guy Kawasaki was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1954. He studied at Stanford University and later earned an MBA from UCLA. At Apple he promoted the Macintosh to software and hardware developers, and he helped bring the word evangelist into everyday marketing use. He later helped start Garage.com, which began as a matchmaking service for angel investors. He has also served as chief evangelist of Canva, and he hosts the Remarkable People podcast. His books include Enchantment, The Art of the Start and Wise Guy. Between 2015 and 2016 he was a trustee of the Wikimedia Foundation.
