About Jodie Archer
Jodie Archer was born in Yorkshire, England, and studied English at the University of Cambridge. After graduating she trained in publishing and became an acquisitions editor at Penguin. She then moved to Stanford University on a scholarship, where she taught nonfiction and memoir writing and researched contemporary fiction and bestsellers. After earning her PhD, she joined Apple as the lead for book research. Her agent later approached her about turning her doctoral work, done with Matt Jockers, into a book, and she gave up her corporate job to write The Bestseller Code.
