About Joel Schwartzberg
Joel Schwartzberg has taught presentation techniques since 2006. His clients have included American Express, State Farm Insurance and the ASPCA. He is the author of Get to the Point! and The Language of Leadership. He spent 2013 to 2024 leading strategic and executive communications at a major national nonprofit. Earlier or alongside that, he held senior roles in communications and editorial work at Nickelodeon, PBS and Time Inc. Interactive. His articles have appeared in Harvard Business Review and Fast Company, and his personal essays have run in The New York Times Magazine and Newsweek. In 1990 he took the national title in After-Dinner Speaking as a public speaking competitor, and he was inducted into the National Forensic Association Hall of Fame in 2002.
