About Jules Evans
Earlier in his career, Evans held a research fellowship at Queen Mary University of London, based at the Centre for the History of the Emotions. He has written or co-written four books, beginning with Philosophy for Life and Other Dangerous Situations, listed here as Philosophy for Life. That first book looks at how people use ancient philosophy today and how it shaped Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The Times included it in its 2013 books of the year. His articles have appeared in outlets including the New York Times, the Financial Times and The Spectator, and he has appeared on BBC 2 and BBC Radio 4. He was a BBC New Generation Thinker for 2013. The project he founded is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that supports people facing difficulties after psychedelic experiences, and he writes a Substack called Ecstatic Integration.
