About Mark Wolynn
Wolynn directs the Family Constellation Institute in San Francisco, where he trains clinicians and works with people facing depression, anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive thoughts, self-injury and chronic pain. He leads workshops at hospitals, clinics and conferences around the world, and has taught at the University of Pittsburgh, the Omega Institute and the California Institute of Integral Studies. He graduated summa cum laude in English and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and his poetry has appeared in The New Yorker. His book It Didn't Start With You, published by Viking, won a 2016 Nautilus Book Award in psychology. Wolynn created the Core Language Approach, which looks at the words people use to describe their symptoms as a way to trace them back to trauma in family history or early childhood.
